What plants can I grow?

You can grow over a thousand different plant varieties with Avid including leafy greens, fruiting vegetables like tomatoes and peppers as well as root vegetables and more.

How big is Avid?

Avid is 48" tall and 25" in diameter providing you enough room to grow large plants with meaningful yields.

How often do I need to add water?

The app will notify you when your reservoir is getting low and the frequency of these notifications will increase as your plants get bigger, but on average you will need to add water about once every 2 weeks.

Is the app free?

Yes, but it won't be able to do anything until you purchase an Avid growing system.

How often will I need to replace the nutrient bottles, growing media, CO2 pack, and carbon filter?

These should last the length of a full grow cycle which is three to four months long. These will cost around $20/month.

Why should I buy Avid instead of a different automated garden?

Avid matches the low price of smaller systems with the size and automation of larger, more expensive gardens. This allows you to achieve large yields without having to break the bank. At $999, Avid is 1/2-1/4 the cost of our competition.

How many plants can I grow at the same time?

This will depend on the type of plant you are growing. For larger plants, we recommend only growing one, but if you are growing something small like leafy greens, you can grow up to 6 at one time. Our app will also provide recommendations on what types of plants grow well together.

Where will Avid ship to?

Avid will initially ship to the US and Canada.

Where should I put my Avid garden?

We recommend placing your Avid garden in an area of your home that is already climate controlled(i.e. cooled in the summer and heated in the winter). This will reduce the amount of work your Avid garden has to do to maintain optimal growing conditions and therefore keep your electric bill low.
